Is Shiftfy free?
Yes. The calculator is completely free and works without creating an account.
Do I need to sign up?
No. You can use the calculator immediately. Your entries are saved only in your own browser.
Is my data stored on a server?
No. All calculations happen in your browser. Your entries are stored locally on your device and are never sent to a server.
How do I calculate decimal hours?
Divide the number of minutes by 60. For example, 30 minutes is 0.5 hours. Shiftfy does this automatically.
Does it handle overnight shifts?
Yes. If your end time is before your start time, Shiftfy treats the shift as crossing midnight.
How is overtime calculated?
Shiftfy shows time over your configured threshold (default 40 hours per week) as overtime. You can adjust the threshold and multiplier in Advanced Settings. Confirm your own overtime rules with your employer.
Can I calculate my pay?
Yes! Enter your hourly rate and select your currency in the Advanced Settings to see regular pay, overtime pay, and total pay estimates.
Can I use this on my phone?
Yes. Shiftfy is designed to work well on mobile and desktop browsers.
Does it support split shifts or multiple breaks?
The current version supports a single work interval per day with one break period. For complex schedules, enter the total worked time and total break time for each day.
